8. Chocolate Lava Cake – 1981
Chocolate Lava Cake was introduced in 1981, and the man behind it was Michel Bras. He said: “I wanted to translate the emotion evoked by coming home to find a mug of hot chocolate after a day of skiing.”
Even though it originated in France, the chocolate lava cake quickly became one of the favorite sweets for the Americans.
