Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons whole milk
• ¼ cup heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• a pinch of salt
• a mix-in (sprinkles, brownies, Oreo cookies, or something else you love)
• 9” metal skillet
• 2 paint scraper

Preparation

Step 1 – Ice Cream Base

Use a large metal skillet and combine milk, heavy cream, sugar and salt. With a heat-resistant rubber spatula, mix the ingredients together and once everything is mixed, put the skillet on the stove over high heat. Keep stirring so that the sugar doesn’t burn on the bottom of the pan and continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool.

Step 3 – Freezing time

Place the skillet in the fridge for four hours. Make sure that the ice cream is extra frozen because otherwise, you won’t be able to scrape it into rolls. Even though you are impatient, don’t take it out of the fridge after three or three and a half hours. Wait for the mixture to freeze completely.

Step 4 – Freeze Paint Scrapers and your bowl

If you skip this step, the ice cream will not be the way you wanted it. Put the bowl in which you plan to serve the ice cream in the fridge together with pain scrapers for 15 minutes at least. If you don’t freeze the bowl or the scrapers, the rolls will melt away quicker than you want them to.
